VIMOVOTM Shown To Decrease Nsaid-Associated Ulcers By Providing Built In Gastroprotection
AstraZeneca and POZEN announced pivotal data from two POZEN clinical trials that demonstrated that patients at risk for developing non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID)-associated gastric ulcers taking VIMOVO (naproxen/esomeprazole magnesium) experienced significantly fewer endoscopically confirmed gastric ulcers compared with patients taking enteric-coated naproxen (500 mg) alone.

Superior Phase III trial results with Tasigna bring new hope to patients with early-stage chronic myeloid leukemia
In a large Phase III clinical trial, Tasigna demonstrated greater efficacy over Gleevec in the treatment of adult patients with newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukemia (Ph+ CML) in chronic phase. The new clinical data were just presented as a late breaking abstract at the 51st annual meeting of the American Society of Hematology , in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Tasigna results showed statistically significant improvement over Gleevec* in every measure of efficacy, including major molecular response (MMR), complete cytogenetic response (CCyR), and prevention of progression to the accelerated or blast crisis phases.
